Front page of today's - NY Times - no less.
An article by John Leland focusing on the emotional trauma, and guilt of women who were having abortions - several of them multiple.
It is interesting how this article assumes that every woman
having an abortion feels guilt and sorrow.
My friend says the she felt tremendous relief and joy over not having to have a child when she wasn't ready.
She thanks God that NYC offered safe abortions back in the
'70's. And that she could afford to fly in and have one.
Her life would have been ruined,. She would not have gone to college and the child would have been raised by an abusive, resentful mother.
She had two beautiful children when she was ready for them.
They were raised in a loving family.
Abortion saved her life, and the lives of her present two children. She's supposed to feel guilty?
It is shocking that a liberal newspaper would be so retro in their take on this important service.
